A bindery that grew a shop
Quillmoor began at a kitchen table with a bone folder, a borrowed sewing frame and a stubborn idea: that a notebook should be as pleasant to use on the last page as on the first.
Everything is tested with ink
Before a paper makes it into a Quillmoor notebook, we write on it — with fine nibs and broad ones, with our wettest inks and with pencil. Most papers do not make the cut.
The ones that do are smooth, opaque and heavy enough that you can use both sides of every page.
Colours that come and go
We make covers in small runs of bookcloth, so a colour you love might not come back. Moss, Ochre, Ink Blue, Clay and Chalk are our current five; the pens, inks and pen rolls are made to match them.
